Apply for Housing

The Department of Housing and Residence Education offers two distinct housing options for University of Florida students and provides housing for summer conference guests.  Please select which is right for you.

Single-Student Residence Halls

Single-student residence halls are primarily for first-year and some upper-class students enrolled in classes at the University of Florida. Accommodations are provided in traditional residence hall, suite-style, and apartment-style residential communities.

Students choosing to live in one of the 24 residence halls are usually working toward a Bachelor's degree. However, any student who does not need to live with a spouse or any student that does not need to live with children that they have custody for can apply for single-student housing. Because of this, some graduate students live in single-student housing, but they are a very small part of the population.

Graduate and Family Housing

Students choosing to live in this type of housing are either working on an advanced (Master's, Specialist, etc.) or professional academic degree or they have a need to live with a spouse or children that they have custody for. Because of the inclusion of spouses and children in eligibility decisions, there are students working on undergraduate degrees who live in Graduate and Family Housing, but this is a relatively small part of the population.

Campus housing accommodations for conference guests can be arranged for during summer months only.
