Residence Facilities

The UF Dept. of Housing & Residence Education offers a large variety of residence facilities. In this section information about housing options is offered so students can find the right living environment for their needs. From the charm of the historic Murphree Area buildings to the modern, apartment-style living of the Lakeside Residential Complex, a wide range of preferences and budgets can be accommodated.

Single-student Housing

Links to the 24 residence halls organized by campus area: East Campus/Murphree and West Campus. Single-student housing indicates housing for students who aren't married. Room types include singles, doubles, triples, suites, and apartments.

Graduate & Family Housing

The Department of Housing & Residence Education offers 5 "Village Communities" for single graduate students; married couples, with or without children, single parent families. Check eligibility info for family housing. Accommodations range from efficiencies to 1 and 2 bedroom apartments to townhouses.Check rental rates.

Academic Initiatives & Enhancement (AIE)

This office responsible for the development, oversight, and assessment of Residential Learning Communities and Academic Enhancements in residence halls.

Internet hook-up/Computing

DHNet — the Dept. of Housing Ethernet fiber optic computer network — allows access to the University’s campus-wide network and the Internet with some restrictions.

Housing for Students with Medical/Physical Conditions

Info for students with medical/physical conditions that may require accommodation related to their condition.

Cable TV Service

CATV service is included in student rent from local provider COX Cable.

Laundry Rooms

The Dept. of Housing provides laundry rooms in each residence area.

Swimming Pools

The Dept. of Housing maintains five swimming pools around campus.

Telephone Service

Telephones are ONLY found in Graduate & Family Housing apartments. There are NO phone jacks in single residence halls. For more information click the link.
