Telephone Service
Please be aware that ONLY Graduate & Family Housing are provided telephone jacks. Single residence halls DO NOT have any telephone jacks inside the rooms. The following information ONLY applies to those students within Graduate & Family Housing.
Local Telephone Service
Note: local phone service is NOT provided in single residence halls.
It is the responsibility of each Village resident to provide his/her own telephone. Local telephone service will already be activated in each room at no additional cost. The monthly charge for local phone service has been calculated in the rent. You will pay for your long distance services as well as the following:
- Third Party Calls
- Directory Assistance Calls
- Charging a product or service to your phone number
- Calling to extended phone service areas (Cedar Key, Chiefland, Cross City, Keystone Heights, McIntosh).
How to use your room phone:
To call a "392" number on campus, Dial 2, then the last four digits of the number. To call another Graduate & Family Housing resident room, dial 6, then the last four digits of the number. To dial off campus dial 9 first then the number.
Long Distance Phone Service
Long distance service is not included in rent. Residents may use and prepaid calling card or contract individually with a long distance service provider of choice only if that provider has an (800) access number or credit card dialup access. Note >> Common LD service providers that require prefix dialup (EX. 10-10-2-20) are not accessible.

- his file is given to business subscribers four times a year
- Names are maintained on the file for five years
- This will remove their name only from national businesses, not local or charity groups
- Not all businesses are members
