Location: East Hall

This Engineering Community is a collaborative effort between the Department of Housing and Residence Education and the College of Engineering. Due to the proximity to the College of Engineering, many engineering students enjoy living in East Hall. The staff in East plan and implement programs specifically geared toward Engineering majors and students with an affinity for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) – both academic and social. Consider joining this community of engineers and discover a group of peers committed to academic success and fun.

The Engineering LLC aims to create an environment that invites opportunities for formal and informal interactions between residents, staff, and faculty through programs and activities that integrate the in-class and out-of-class experiences of engineering majors as well as provide professional and paraprofessional staff who support and enhance the residential living experience.

The spirit of STEM is lives at East Hall! The Engineering LLC allows students in the same academic program to live and study together.

How to Join:

Shortly after the official notification is sent to students admitted to the University of Florida, the housing Assignments Office will send housing contracts to students that have an active housing application on file. Students who complete the housing contract process (sign the contract and pay the prepayment) will be able to indicate hall/room preferences. During that time you will be asked if you are interested in living in an LLC and if so, which one. Simply indicate Engineering LLC at East Hall as your choice. The computer will check your major to see if you qualify and if you do, it will code you as eligible for the LLC. Students who are eligible to select a room during the self-assignment process simply need to select East Hall to be a member of the LLC.
