The PROMISE LLC is a partnership between the Office of Academic Support for Undergraduate Affairs and Department of Housing and Residence Education. The PROMISE LLC consists of student scholars who are selected by the Office of Admissions upon entering their first year at the University of Florida. PROMISE scholars begin their academic career during the summer B term and reside in the LLC where they are provided an opportunity to explore and experience college life with other students enrolled in the program. PROMISE scholars are offered an extra layer of support, new learning opportunities, and collaborative activities. By the end of the summer, Promise Scholars are expected to have created networks, friendships, and strong academic habits that will support their academic success throughout their UF careers!
How to Join:
Students are selected as PROMISE program participants through the University of Florida Office of Admissions. Once admitted via the PROMISE Program, these scholars are required to attend Summer B semester and to live in the selected residence hall designated for the Summer B PROMISE LLC.
Once selected for the PROMISE Program, students must apply for Summer B Housing and then sign their contract and pay associated fees through the Housing Management System (HMS) Portal. The contracting process may change slightly each admissions/contracting cycle, and the most up-to-date information can be found at http://www.housing.ufl.edu/undergrad/apply/howto/.
Once the student has applied, signed their contract, and paid associated fees, they will be assigned to the PROMISE-assigned Residence Halls for that term. Once they have received their room placement, move-in information will be provided via Gatorlink email and the Housing Website.
