RESIDENCE HALLS

On-campus living means you’re in on all the action

Living in a residence hall offers:

PROXIMITY – Seconds away from all the action.
PEACE OF MIND – Nightly security patrol, secure spaces, and on-site staff.
RESPONSE – We are on call 24/7 to make sure all your needs are covered.
COMMUNITY – Events centered around you and your interests
RESIDENTIAL CURRICULUM – Intentional out-of-class learning and engagement.

UF has three types of residence halls:

Traditional Style – You will share a room with one or two roommates and a bathroom with your section or floor.
Suite Style – Suites have two rooms adjoining rooms with roommates in each room. Students will share a bathroom (and a small common space in some buildings) with your suitemates.
Apartment Style – Apartments have 1-2 students in each bedroom, a living area, and a kitchen area with 1-2 bathrooms.

Many of our residence halls offer focused residential communities called Living Learning Communities (LLCs). Students living in LLCs will have access to programs, speakers and activities that are designed to support the interests and needs of you and others that are like-minded.

UF Housing has everything you need to be successful in the classroom. Between quiet spaces in the halls to close access to UF’s many libraries and Newell Hall Learning Commons, you will have what you need to make academics a priority. Additionally, a recent study shows that students living on campus have significantly higher GPAs than students who live off campus.
