Move-In maps will be your guide for how to arrive to campus, where to retrieve your keys, and where to go if we are experiencing inclement weather.

Housing staff will greet you outside your hall at your vehicle. Be sure to have your photo ID handy.

Staff will have you scan a QR code to check in via HMS. You will receive your keys and verify all of your room information is correct.

Your guest or family member will begin unloading the vehicle as you check in. We highly recommend bringing your own cart or dolly. We will have a limited amount available for use.

Once your items are unloaded our staff will provide parking information and direct you to the nearest elevator, if applicable.

Residents have two hours total to move in.

Each resident is permitted two guests to accompany them into their hall. Face coverings are required in all UF facilities and must be worn during move-in.

Residents in locations with freight elevators will be provided one trip for large and bulk items. Housing staff will meet the resident at the elevator with their items and provide instructions of loading the elevator. The resident will meet the staff member on their assigned floor to unload items.

Passenger elevators are available for multiple trips. All residents and guests must follow social distancing guidelines displayed at elevator locations.

First Florida Experience

RAs are among the very best “amenities” Where Gators Live! RAs are undergraduate students who live in the residence halls and apartments and are friends, mentors, resources, encouragers, and helpers. They facilitate the world-class experience gators enjoy in the residence halls and complexes. If you have a question, need advice, are wondering how to submit a work order, or want to chat with someone who knows the ropes at UF and is excited about helping you achieve your goals, your RA is your guide! They look forward to connecting with you soon via Thursdays at 3, attending the Great Gator Welcome events, and through the REALM curriculum, all of which you can read more about below.
While the spirit of our model for our gators’ residential experience and learning is the same, delivery will look different this Fall! Engagement opportunities in the halls will be thoughtfully delivered with physical distancing or virtually. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and health of our gators!

Our Learning Priority is for students to live, learn, and lead in the residence halls in alignment with the university mission and our Florida Five educational goals. The intention is to provide a signature experience that supplements student learning, which will further enable students to positively impact their communities, the Gator Nation, and the world.
